Mueen ِِAl-Nashef Success Story
Mueen Al-Nashif, the only son among three sisters, graduated from Al-Najah National University in Nablus with a Civil Engineering degree in the beginning of 2014. From that day onwards, Mueen embarked on a journey to find a job. Mueen started his professional journey working as an intern for a couple of months in engineering labs.
Later, Mueen decided to go to Dubai to look for a suitable opportunity after he was fed up with the difficulty of finding job opportunities in his own country. He spent two months there looking for a job, but he could not find one that could compensate for the hardships of being away from home, so he returned to Palestine.
What Mueen did not know was that his return would bring him professional success, for he soon learned from a friend about the program offered by Palestine Education for Employment in partnership with Welfare Association, the Engineers Association, and Global Communities, which included WPS training, followed by a paid internship for eight months.
After the completion of the training, Mueen got an eight- month’s paid internship opportunity at Global Communities. “My training there was a rich experience that increased my skills and work experience and shaped the beginning of my career path,” Mueen said.
Mueen was determined to develop himself and to look for new opportunities, so he applied for a vacancy at the Engineers Association, where he was selected from the 16 applicants who were interviewed for the same vacancy. He was appointed as a Project Coordinator in the Training and Employment Department. “The Workplace Success training and the paid internship refined and developed my professional skills, especially, my job interview skills. Without the training, I wouldn’t have been able to get my current position,” Mueen added.
