Ahmad Islemeyah's Success Story

Ahmad studies business administration Algeria graduated in July 2012 and came back to Palestine hoping to find a job after he studies hard abroad for 4 years.

Looking for a job turned out to be more difficult than he thought it would be, for almost a year he applied to many places but he was never able to find something suitable or be asked for a second interview for that matter.

“I thought maybe I should just go work abroad, I lost hope to find a job, I either don’t know of any vacancies or if I hear of any it’s either not suitable for me or the interview doesn’t go very well”.

“I heard about the marketing training program with PEFE, which I joined in April; the training was wonderful and the experience was eye-opening”

Ahmed has changed a lot during the training, he described himself as “a positive and tolerant person”, two traits that he lost after being unemployed for almost a year.

He improved his skills and learned how to write a C.V., what to do and not to do during a job interviews, his communication skills increased and his team spirit is high.

During the program, Ahmad was part of a group that conducted a market research and developed a marketing plan for a local company, which exposed him to the nature of work in marketing and business administration.

His experience during the training program equipped him with confidence, and along with his good C.V., Ahmad was doing great in most of the job interviews he had, and only one month after his graduation from the program he found a job in the field of sales and marketing as an indoor sales person in Click Co. for computers.

“PEFE was helping me during my job search through scheduling interviews for me in very well know companies that I never thought I have the skills and confidence to work in”

Ahmad is very happy about his current job and the fact that he didn’t have to go abroad for opportunities.

“There are great opportunities in Palestine, a person should just be ambitious and work hard to get where he wants. What I did is an accomplishment for me and it’s just one first step in my journey towards my big dream, opportunities are everywhere around me”
